1.1 Innovative exploration methods
Our institution, focused on the development of geological and geophysical studies and R&D projects, is interested in submitting a proposal for the Call ERAMIN3 with a deadline of next April 1st.
Our area of expertise covers geophysics methods (georadar, electrometry, magnetometry, gravimetry, passive seismic, tomography), including remote source methods based on the teledetection (hyperspectral analysis) by integration of geological and geophysical data with resource calculation and mine planning software, mineral resource and ore reserve estimation, grade calculations and models. We also have great experience in applied mathematics (signal processing, wavelet analysis, ARIMA, LSTM and techniques of Artificial Intelligence).
Through our experience we are interested in participating in the directions from the Era-MIM3 topic:
Topic 1. Supply of raw materials from exploration to mining
Topic 3. Processing, Production and ICT
Topic 4. Environmental assessment, climate and policy development for sustainability.
Of course, we can also adapt to other proposals of the partners, so that through complementarity we propose a very good and feasible project.
The Geological Institute of Romania (GIR) was founded in 1906, with the mission of a national geological study. GIR is a member of the EuroGeoSurvey. Our area of expertise covers geophysical methods, including remote source methods, integration of geological and geophysical data with resource calculation and 3D models. We have a rich database of geological and geophysical maps / sections of different scales in Romania, a rich and strong infrastructure for geophysical investigation (GPR, electrometry, seismometry, remote sensing, etc) and competent human resources not only in geology-geophysics but also in fields such as physics, mathematics, chemistry, information and communications technology.
Geological Institute of Romania (GIR) was founded in 1906, with the mission of a national geological survey. Our area of expertise covers geophysics methods, including remote source methods (VLF and magnetotellurics), in exploration programs, integration of geological and geophysical data with resource calculation and mine planning software, mineral resource and ore reserve estimation, calculations and 3D models. IGR was part of many international projects dedicated to Earth observation and geohazards (Digisoil, SafeLand, PanGeo, URMA), raw materials (SARMa, SNAPSEE, ProMine, EuroGeoSource, Minventory, Minerals4EU, MAXI, SUSMIN, MINATURA, MICA, CHPM2030), geothermal energy (Thermomap, GeoSEE), land planning (ERCIP, EMODnet), geomagnetic induced curents of geomagnetic storms (SAFESPACE), ERA MIN (AI-COSTSQO), etc.
