2.4 Recovery and urban mining of raw materials from end-of-life products and other wastes
My name is Sait Kursunoglu. I am currently working as an Associate Professor of Mineral Processing and Hydrometallurgy at Batman University, Department of Petroleum and Natural Gas Engineering in Batman, Turkey. I am also the director of the Petroleum Research Center at Batman University. Our research team is currently focused on the recovery of critical metals (V, Mo, Ni, and Co) from spent petroleum catalysts via calcination, leaching, solvent extraction, and precipitation. We would like to develop a new hydrometallurgical flow sheet for the recovery of critical metal, either metal or compound, from these types of waste materials. We are looking for collaboration in a consortium to apply to the "ERA-MIN Joint Transnational Call 2023."
We are also open to work on projects proposed by other researchers.
Our reserch team is interested in,
1. Leaching
2. Solvent extraction
3. Precipitation
4. Calcination
5. Recovery of valuable metals from spent materials
6.Machine Leraning
7. Deep Learning
8. AHP/AHP fuzzy
Batman City is known as the petroleum production capital of Turkey. Batman University is a state university located in the southeast of Turkey. The academicians are pretty young, productive, creative, and open to teamwork.
